Everything you need to know about October’s Lunar Eclipse in Taurus

Eclipse season continues… but hey, at least we’re almost there! (Alexa, play “Karma” by Taylor Swift) Think back to November 2021: Where were you personally and professionally? Did you feel comfortable within your sense of security? If you don’t remember, check your journal, daily planner, or social media archives for reference. My reason for asking? This was the beginning of the Taurus-Scorpio eclipse series, followed by the Nodes of Fate officially entering Taurus and Scorpio in January 2022. As always, it’s important to check where these fixed energies come to life in our birth charts. Otherwise, how else would we know what we’re dealing with astrologically?

During the past two years, the North Node in Taurus (collectively and individually) brought us closer to a more stable, rooted, and financially secure foundation. As for the South Node in Scorpio, it helped us confront and release the shadowy parts (i.e. fear, obsession, anxiety, inhibitions, stored trauma) of ourselves that didn’t serve our highest good. For reference, the Taurus-Scorpio axis speaks about our finances and shared resources; it also represents the relationship we have with ourselves, and with others. As above, so below. That being said, if our reality/perception of these energies was built upon a faulty foundation, the cosmos left us with no choice but to recognize that, for better or for worse.

What to know about October’s Lunar Eclipse in Taurus

“Gratitude makes sense of our past, brings peace for today, and creates a vision for tomorrow.” – Melody Beattie

To wrap up the last eclipse season of 2023, this month’s lunar eclipse will take place on October 28 via 5 degrees of Taurus at exactly 4:24 p.m. ET. While solar eclipses are equivalent to a very potent new moon, lunar eclipses are powerful full moons. Either way, eclipses usher in life-altering changes between now and the next six months. Keep in mind, full moons are symbolic of celebration, enlightenment and full-circle moments. During a lunar eclipse, the Earth casts its shadow on the moon which, in turn, serves as an emotional turning point. So, in addition to looking back at the past two years, you can also think back to the new moon in Taurus that took place on May 19, 2023.

Venus-ruled Taurus represents everything from our comfort, sensual pleasures, and sense of security, to our spending habits and money-making abilities. What’s changed in this area of your life? What have you transformed in order to maintain and/or obtain the stability you seek? Although you more than likely experienced a rebirth when in regards to these areas of life, October’s lunar eclipse may continue to provide insight, and encourage us to get organized in the process. What do you need to strengthen and nurture, in order to feel secure? Are you self-reliant? October’s lunar eclipse in Taurus is our last-call to get grounded, and be discerning with our investments.

On a brighter note, the lunar eclipse will be sitting alongside bountiful Jupiter, Greater Benefic and planet of expansion, wisdom, and opportunity. This is not only incredibly supportive to our current and future endeavors, but also auspicious when pertaining to earthly matters. Despite whether you already started working towards something, or are hoping to in the near future, the influence of Jupiter could bring forth abundance and blessings between now and the end of 2023.
